Colbie is an AI assistant. You talk to her on a video call in your browser, and after that she texts you over iMessage. This page says what she reads, what she keeps, who else sees it, and how to delete it. The service is run by Truss Legal, Inc. (“we”).
What we collect
- Your phone number, when you type it on the website or text her first.
- Your name, if you give it.
- Your time zone, read from your browser, so she knows what time it is for you.
- A random id your browser keeps, so one device cannot start calls without limit. It is not tied to your identity.
- Every spoken line on a call, as a transcript, and every text in the thread, in both directions.
- A short profile she writes about you from those conversations, so she remembers you next time.
- Counts, timings, and error codes about calls, texts, and model requests. These records hold no words.
Your voice and video are streamed to run the call. We do not store audio or video recordings.
How we use it
- To run the call and the text thread, and to let her remember you between them.
- To enforce limits on calls and texts, and to keep the service working.
- To see how the product is doing, using counts and timings only.
We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising. We do not use your conversations or your Google data to train AI models.
Google data
You can connect your Google account so she can work with your calendar and your Gmail. You do this through a Google sign-in screen that says what she is asking for. Nothing is connected until you say yes there.
With your calendar connected, she can:
- Read your events, to tell you what is coming up and find free time.
- Create, change, and delete events, when you ask her to. She shows you the change and acts on your yes.
With your Gmail connected, she can:
- Read and search your mail, to answer your questions about it and tell you what needs attention.
- Draft and send mail as you, when you ask her to. She shows you the draft and sends on your yes.
- Label, archive, and mark mail read or unread, when you ask her to.
What she keeps from Google:
- We do not copy your mailbox or your calendar to our servers.
- She reads what she needs for the request in front of her, uses it to answer, and does not keep it after that.
- What she tells you about your mail or calendar is a text in your thread, and is stored like any other text.
- The access tokens Google issues are held by Composio, the connection service we use. We hold only an id for the connection. We can revoke it at any time, and we do when you delete your data.
Colbie’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In plain words:
- Google data is used only to give you the features above, in the thread you can see.
- It is not transferred to anyone else, except to the services that run those features, for security, or when the law requires.
- It is not sold, not used for ads, and not used to decide credit or lending.
- No person at our company reads it, unless you ask us to look at something specific, it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
- It is not used to train AI models, whether ours or anyone else’s.
You can remove her access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, or by asking her to disconnect Google.
Websites she uses for you
When you ask her to do something on a website, she uses a browser of her own, hosted by Kernel, with a profile kept for you. When a site wants you signed in, she texts you a link that opens that browser on your phone, and you sign in there yourself. She never sees or stores your password.
- The profile keeps the sign-ins you make, the way your own browser does, so she can act on those sites next time without asking again.
- Before she pays, sends, cancels, or deletes anything on a site, she shows you what she is about to do and acts on your yes.
- We keep nothing from those pages. What she tells you about them is a text in your thread.
Who else sees it
We use other companies to run the service. Each one gets only what its part needs, and only to do that part.
- OpenAI runs the model that thinks of her replies. It receives the conversation and, when you ask about them, the relevant mail or events.
- Tavus and Daily run the video call: her face, her voice, and the room your browser joins. They receive your audio and video during the call.
- Linq sends and receives her iMessages. It sees the texts.
- Composio holds the Google connection and runs each request against Google. It sees the mail and events each request touches.
- Kernel hosts the browser she uses on websites for you, and the profile that keeps your sign-ins. It sees the pages she visits for you.
- Supabase, Railway, and Vercel host the database, the server, and the website.
- Sentry receives error reports. They carry ids and codes, never words.
We share data beyond this only if the law requires it, or to investigate abuse of the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your data until you delete it. The next section says how.
How to delete it
- Text her “delete my data”. She asks once to be sure. Reply with just the word DELETE and it is done.
- Or email privacy@colbie.ai from any address, with the phone number you used. We confirm back to that number.
Deleting your data empties every message, every transcript, and the profile she wrote, revokes and removes any Google connection, and deletes the browser profile with your sign-ins.
Your phone number stays on a do-not-text list, so she never texts you again by mistake. The counts of calls and texts stay, with no content, so the day’s limits still add up.
To stop texts without deleting anything, reply STOP. Reply START to pick it back up.
Age
Colbie is for people 18 and over. If we learn that someone younger has used her, we delete their data.
Changes
When this page changes, the date at the top changes. If a change affects how we use your data, we ask you to agree to it before it applies to you.
